★ Ina Maud Sheldon-Williams
Sheldon-Williams was born in Ardrishaig, Argyll, Scotland. In 1902, she was photographed in India and traveled all her life. Ina Maud Thomson married the artist Inglis Sheldon-Williams in 1904, and they lived in England for the next decade.
In 1926, Sheldon-Williams exhibited paintings of the Italian and French Alps, along with military drawings by her husbands, in Mr. Walters New gallery. Sheldon-Williams presented studies of the Indian figure for an exhibition in 1935. In July 2012, Sheldon-Williams work was exhibited alongside Elizabeth Frinks at the Buxton Museum and art gallery.
Sheldon-Williams had two daughters, Eva and Kristina. Sheldon-Williams daughter, Eva, was an artist and teacher. Her granddaughter, Fran Hickox, is also an artist.

Created by sir Kenneth Clarke in the early 1940s, Sheldon-Williams contributed to recording the changing face of the British scheme during world war II.
