★ Glendale Fashion Center
The Glendale Fashion Center was a regional shopping center in Glendale, California, which today is the location of a major energy center of the same name.
The center opened in 1966 on the basis of the Department store J. W. Robinsons, as well as stores Joseph Magnin and Desmonds. Later, Joseph Magnin moved to the Glendale gallery, and local retailer Webbs expanded the space from 30.000 to 67.500 square feet and moved into it on September 27, 1979.
After being damaged in the 1994 Northridge earthquake, the existing Mall was demolished and the site was turned into an open-air energy center, a 264.474-square-foot center with anchors including strouds, Michaels, Ross Dress for Less, Ralphs supermarket, Longs Drugs, Barnes and Noble, and Nordstrom Rack.
