4.1. Events. Hungarian School Choice Program. (Венгерская Программа Выбора Школы)

Promoting the choice of a Hungarian-language school among ethnic Hungarian families living outside the country is a high priority on the associations agenda due to the fact that those who have not been enrolled by their parents in a Hungarian-language educational institution are at high risk of being lost by the Hungarian community. In the interests of this, the organization appeals to newborns, children in kindergartens and those who enter primary education. Every year, the Association accepts up to 9.000 newborns with a childs diary as part of the Golyakhir program. During the advent period, the organization regularly sends a gift along with thoughts encouraging parents to choose a Hungarian-language educational institution for their child, to more than 20.000 Hungarian-speaking kindergarten children living outside the country. During the spring, children entering Hungarian-language schools receive a school portfolio, followed by a scholarship symbolizing Hungarian unity, awarded personally to approximately 10.000 Hungarian first-graders in more than 400 locations after the start of the school year in September. Recognition of kindergarten and primary school teachers, who play a key role in school choice, is also high on the Associations agenda. Thanks to the large-scale social cooperation organized in support of the Hungarian school choice program, five hundred Hungarian municipalities, as well as several individuals and public figures, have joined forces to promote this cause.

4.2. Events. Youth event. (Молодежное мероприятие)

These organizations focus on young people of secondary school age, with particular emphasis on the fact that a significant portion of identity and relationship networks are created between the ages of 14 and 18. During this period, the rakoci Association aims to open up as many impulses as possible to young people to help them evaluate their Hungarian identity and build a variety of inter-Hungarian relationships with each other. As part of the Associations student travel program, in 2019, about 22.000 students from more than 600 secondary schools visited another Hungarian community, crossing at least one state border to mark the Hungarian national holiday or memorial Day. This age group is served by high school student meetings, weekend trips attracting students from both sides of the state border, summer camps, historical contests "Gloria Victis" and "Cultura Nostra", as well as support for hundreds of grassroots initiatives in local school communities. In 2019, 4.500 young participants took part in 17 summer camps held by the Association.

At the request of the Hungarian Diaspora Council and with the support of the Hungarian government, the rakoci Association has been announcing its Diaspora program annually since 2016 to provide opportunities for young people with Hungarian roots living around the world to participate in camps and educational excursions in Hungary. build relationships and strengthen your identity through immersion in the Hungarian language and culture. Since 2016, 1.000 young people from Diaspora communities have been taking advantage of the opportunities offered by the program every year.

The organizations activities include commemorating the cult of Prince Francis II rakoci and the memory of the Martyr of the upper Hungarian politician Janos Esterhazy, as well as concerning the fate of more than 100.000 Hungarians who were deported and expelled from Czechoslovakia in connection with the Benes decrees.

The rakoci Association was able to purchase the Varhegi resort in Satorjaujheli, in the North-East of Hungary, thanks to the support of the Hungarian government. Since its acquisition, the complex has been operating under the name Rakoczi Camp and Events Centre.
