★ Link Farm State Archaeological Area
The link farm state archaeological site, also known as the Duck river temple mounds or the Duck river site, is an archaeological site of the Mississippian culture located at the confluence of the Duck and Buffalo rivers South of Waverly in Humphreys County, Tennessee. This place is most widely known due to stone artifacts found during excavations in the late 19th century.

The site includes two substructured platform Mounds, three conical Mounds, a loaf-shaped mound, and a Central Plaza measuring 150 meters 490 feet from East to West and 250 meters 820 feet from North to South. The 90-acre, 0.36 km2 site was purchased by the state of Tennessee in 1974 and is now preserved as part of the Johnsonville state historical Park.

This place is mostly known for the fact that in December 1894, a "Duck river cache" with devil artifacts was discovered on a low hill at this place. In March 1895, a pair of male and female statues from Mississippian Sandstone, nicknamed "Adam" and "eve", were discovered in the same, but somewhat deeper place. The male statue is now in the Metropolitan Museum of art, and the female statue was lost. The Duck river cache was purchased by the McClung Museum of natural history and culture in Knoxville, Tennessee, and is now on permanent display.
